Don's Mac Pro Days - Running MacOS X and Windows on one computer

Apple Boot Camp Reactions - My own personal reactions to the April 2006 news that Apple has released a tool to help users install Windows XP on Intel based Macs.

Vista Reactions - My own personal reactions to the news that Windows Vista will be delayed until early 2007.

Just an interesting fact here -- when Microsoft officially put into place their Windows Genuine Advantage program in mid-2005, they (Microsoft) apparently said that approximately 1/3 of all Windows installations are pirated. With Windows being run on approximately 90% of PCs, and 1/3 of those installations being pirated, that means that at best 60% of PCs have a legal Windows license. If the media continues to promote Windows as being popular and mainstream based on a 90% marketshare, they're essentially approving of software piracy.

A Business Owner's Switcher Experience - This link takes you to another website (MacCast.com) for an article written by a business owner who, out of necessity, begrudginly used an Apple PowerBook during a business trip, tried all night to crash it and could not. He's now converting his company over to Macs instead of PCs. I thought it was an interesting little read about using Macs for business.

A few of the features that make MacOS X great to use today - and a look into the near future with the just-announced release of version 10.4 "Tiger" in April 2005.

Operating Systems comparison - A subjective overview of PC and Macintosh operating systems by a person who has actually used most of the OSes mentioned. What makes a good operating system? How do versions of the same OS relate in terms of technical power, visual appeal and security? Is a Macintosh better than a PC for general purpose use?

My switch from PC to Macintosh - what was gained, what was lost and what did it cost?

Why Linux? Why Linux, Indeed! - With MacOS X putting an incredibly slick and user friendly interface onto a powerful and proven UNIX system, why use Linux?
